about
Kansas Suicide Prevention Coalition
The Kansas Suicide Prevention Coalition (KSPC) champions suicide prevention for all Kansans through equitable access to partnerships, advocacy, resources, ideas, and data. We unite community members, providers, survivors, and advocates across the state to build connection, break stigma, and create pathways to hope. Suicide is preventable, and every Kansan has a role to play in making prevention possible.
Kansans United to Prevent Suicide.
What We Do
KSPC brings together suicide prevention groups, coalitions, organizations, and people with lived experience from every corner of Kansas in a shared effort to create positive change.
Connect
We link suicide prevention efforts across the state so that no community, coalition, or advocate has to do this work alone.
strengthen
We help develop systems that support Kansans' mental, emotional, physical, cultural, and financial well-being, reducing risk by listening to input from diverse sectors and communities.
Equip
We prepare Kansans at every level, including policymakers, professionals, organizations, families, and individuals, to take action on suicide prevention.
Advocate
We push for suicide prevention that is inclusive, data-driven, and responsive to the diverse needs of Kansans across our many different identities.
Guided by a Plan
Our work is grounded in the Kansas Suicide Prevention Plan, a statewide roadmap developed with input from coalitions, providers, state agencies, and Kansans with lived experience.
This state plan serves as a roadmap in preventing suicide through connecting services, making resources more accessible, upstream prevention, and creating more supportive postvention.
Led by Kansans,
for Kansans
Kansas Suicide Prevention Coalition is guided by an Executive Committee of dedicated professionals and advocates who volunteer their time and expertise to move our work forward.
Our Partners
