Reno County Suicide Prevention Coalition Hosts Reflection Walk
On Saturday September, 5, the Reno County community and others came together for a Reflection Walk - an opportunity to remember and honor the lives lost to suicide. People in attendance were able to connect with local resource providers and find support and comfort amongst each other. Events like this are a reminder that grief is something many people go through, but they don’t have to do it alone.
About Reno County Suicide Prevention Coalition
The mission of the Reno County Suicide Prevention Coalition is to raise awareness of suicide in our county, reduce the incidence of suicide, and provide support for those affected by suicide. We are a coalition of people from many aspects of community life who believe suicide is preventable. Together we work to educate people about the warning signs of suicide and what to do about it. We partner with other local organizations who have a passion for suicide prevention, and we work to bridge the barriers in our community that keep people from getting the help they need. We work to support those family members and friends left behind after a suicide death. We care and we are at work seeking to make a difference in our community.
